The Bulkington Children's Centre vision was developed in consultation with key stakeholders and the Jack & Jill Pre-school Parent Forum.
'Our Children's Centre will provide a fully inclusive service, accessible to all those who need it, through talking to children and families about what they need and giving clear information to families in a family-friendly and jargon-free way'.
Our Objectives
The service we provide will aim to meet the Children's Centre key priorities and those of the local community which it serves:
to support the improvement of childcare, early education and play facilities within the area by maintaining current services and enhancing or supporting the provision of additional ones through consultation and outreach to meet local need and parental choice to work in partnership with parents and carers in order to have apositive impact on the children's self-esteem and well-being to offer parents and families access to information and signposting to services engage in consultation with families to get them involved in strengthening their communities and in shaping and adapting services for the future to ensure that all services are developed and delivered in a way that is accessible and appropriate to all children and families, and reflect their individual needs to provide opportunities for parents and carers to access lifelong learning oppportunities and enter the employment market by having access to flexible and affordable childcare provision- to help families and children to make informed choices regarding their health and keeping safe, through support from professionals
- ensure cultural sensitivity and inclusion in the development and delivery of all services
- to monitor, evaluate and review the service to make sure that we continue to meet the needs of our local community
- to help parents to maintain the family unit enabling children to grow up in a caring and nurturing environment
- to ensure the sustainability of services
