Wolvey Preschool is an educational charity founded in the early months of 1968, by parents living in the village.  In the absence of state nurseries, they came together to create their own self-help playgroup.  In 2008 we will be celebrating our 40th anniversary.  The hard work and dedication of all Staff, Parents and Children over the years has made this possible.

Wolvey Preschool is a registered charity: No 1041667.  We are registered in accordance with Ofsted.  Our Unique Ofsted number is 200869.

We are open for 39 weeks of the year, 5 mornings per week. We also offer a lunch club session.  We are registered to take up to 20 children at each session.

Our fees are: Morning session 9.00am - 11.30am = £6.00.  Morning session including lunch club 9.00am - 12.55pm = £9.00.  Nursery Education Grants are available from the term after a Child's 3rd Birthday.

Wolvey Preschool is a Committee run setting which relies on the dedication of parents and carers to keep the legal and financial side of the setting running smoothly.  The Committee is also responsible for fundraising.  Recent fundraising has resulted in the purchase of extra equipment for the outdoor play area and the grass to be replaced with bark.  This allows the children to access the play area at all times during the year.

The qualified Staff at Wolvey Preschool are committed to a good quality of care and education. They regularly update their training in all areas of learning to help give all children who enter Wolvey Preschool a good start to their education.
