Wolvey pre-school has been running for over 40 years, having been set up by parents, living in the village, who wanted their own self-help playgroup, in the absence of state run facilities. In April 2009, the running of the pre-school was taken over by the Governors of Wolvey CofE Primary school. The pre-school is situated in the grounds of the primary school and offers a safe, stimulating and caring environment in a purpose built setting with an enclosed outdoor area, complete with an all weather classroom. We are open for 38 weeks of the year, offering 3 morning sessions, with optional lunch club and 2 full day sessions. Wolvey pre-school offers care for 2½ to 5 year olds and is registered to take up to 20 children at each session. Sessions available are:3 hours from 9am. to 12 pm.4 hours from 9am. to 1pm., including lunch club.3 hours from 12pm. to 3pm., including lunch club.6 hours full day from 9am. to 3pm. including lunch club (on Wednesday and Thursday only). Our fees are £3.55p. per hour; lunch club is charged at the same rate. There are 3 permanent key members of staff, who all hold valid Level 3 qualifications and regularly update their training in all areas of learning and care. They are committed to providing quality childcare and education through thorough planning; helping and supporting children, as they learn through play; stimulating children’s minds and helping them to build their confidence and self-esteem. All in a setting that values diversity and does not discriminate in any way. The staff are fully aware of the contribution that parents and carers can bring to the setting, therefore they encourage any input which may help in the care and education of all the children
